Union dues differ based on your working conditions. Generally, there are two dues levels: teachers who are working part-time, and those working full-time. Though, because FTI teaching contracts have poor working conditions, the union voted to charge FTI teachers at the part-time rate for 2020.
For teachers who teach 100 or more lessons per month, dues are 2,500 yen per month (2,000 yen for NUGW Nambu and 500 yen for the branch/local Begunto NUGW).
For teachers who teach 99 lessons or less per month, and for those on the FTI contract, dues are 1,500 yen per month (1,000 yen for NUGW Nambu and 500 yen for the branch/local Begunto NUGW).
